The AEM X-Series OBD2 Wideband O2 Air Fuel Ratio UEGO 52mm Digital Gauge provides tuners who are using piggyback tuning modules or open source software with the ability to view AFR through the factory CAN-bus stream that is output by the factory ECU, delivering the most accurate, safe and powerful tune.

Simply connect the supplied AEM connector to the OBD2 port on any 2008 or newer car - OBD2 ports were factory standard as early as 1996, however it wasn’t until 2008 that the OBD2 CANbus data stream was factory standard (ISO-15765).

The OBD2 output simulates an auxiliary ECU signal when plugged into a OBD port, which requires a unique address from the other ECUs already on a vehicle’s network. AEM’s default OBD2 CAN address will work with most popular vehicles and adjustments should not be necessary. However, AEM has provided OBD2 address programmability through the buttons on the gauge face if a different address other than the default address is required, allowing users to program ECU #, Parameter Identification (PID), Message Identifier, and Bit Rate.

Features AEM's unique, patented 100% digital technology that makes it the fastest responding wideband air/fuel ratio controller on the market.

The X-Series digital wideband technology gives this gauge the ability to read and report values that other controllers do not, in which can then deliver a more optimized engine tuning and a safer overall operating condition. The controller’s high speed digital implementation ensures no loss of signal fidelity and full transient response, making it able to identify the slightest fluctuations in AFR and output them in full value.

A faster response time will improve the widebands feedback control, and can provide a safer, more powerful and accurate tune. AEM’s Wideband Controllers with X-Series digital technology can reduce deadtime and improve the performance of your car through more accurate AFR tuning. Deadtime is the delay between when exhaust gas composition changes and when that change is reported by the O2 sensor. While flow of exhaust gases (transport delay) can affect deadtime, it is not the only source. Often, the sensing elements response to the gas is the largest contributor to deadtime when an engine is in high RPM under load.

The easy to view digital LED display and sweeping LED “needle” changes colours as AFR changes from rich to lean.

The user configurable display can be changed via buttons on the gauge face that allow you to see the AFR values for different fuels, Lambda or O2%, change the center display to three or four digits and perform a free-air calibration if desired, or as the sensor ages.

Additional wiring for a 0-5v or RS232 Serial output for feedback control and data logging to a data logger can be added by the user.

Can be used on EFI or carbureted applications, and dynamometers in applications using petroleum, methanol, ethanol, diesel, propane & CNG.

A must have for all tuned performance engines, either forced induction or naturally aspirated, fuel injected or carbureted.

Features a bright LED display that is 87% larger than AEM's original digital gauges and provides better readability. The sweeping LED “needle” lines the edge of the gauge face for quick reference and the 33% overall increase in the gauge face display makes it easier to see at a glance.

All AEM X-Series gauges are equipped with auto dimming and locking connectors to ensure a positive connection between the harnesses and gauge.

*Independently tested at 360° Product Testing against 17 competitor wideband UEGO Air/Fuel Controllers. The AEM X-Series Inline with Bosch 4.9LSU wideband sensor and AEM X-Series Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge with Bosch 4.9LSU sensor recorded the fastest response times. ** Wideband UEGO sensors are wear items and their lifespan is determined by many factors including contamination from leaded fuels, automotive fluids, particulates, mechanical or thermal shock and from being unheated and exposed to the exhaust stream. Free-air calibration may correct drift as a sensor ages, but it is recommended that they are replaced as part of your applications maintenance program. When performing free-air calibration, please follow the procedure outlined in the instruction manual.
